About the movie

In July 1973, Olga Hepnarová, a 22-year-old Czech woman, drove a truck into a tram stop in Prague, leaving eight innocent victims. Following this, she became the last woman executed in Czechoslovakia. Hepnarová was a timid by nature and a troubled child with no friends, frequently bullied by her classmates. Unable to fit in and to cope with a strict family environment, she felt a raging hatred growing inside her towards the indifference of society. After leaving children's psychiatric hospital, she breaks free from her family, cuts her hair, starts smoking and finds a job in a garage – and starts plotting against the society. 'I, Olga Hepnarová' is a disturbing character study of a young mind, willing to revenge before her own death.
