About the movie

When a tall, 40-year-old lanky crane operator, Samir, spots Agathe in a café, it's love at first sight. Samir learns that Agathe is a swimming instructor at a local pool in Montreuil and signs up for her lessons, claiming he doesn't know how to swim. His lie is revealed after three lessons – just as Agathe is warming to him. She writes him off as a guy trying to get into her bed. Agatha is then chosen to represent her region at the 10th International Swimming Instructor Congress in Iceland. Madly in love, Samir flies there too, determined to prove his worthiness. A brave, goofy, sincere, laugh-out-loud story begins. The film won in the Directors' Fortnight section at the Cannes Film Festival.
